UbiPharm Benin: 10 Years Serving Health Within Reach 01 | 01
The story began in 2009, driven by an ambitious vision: to bring to Benin a responsible pharmaceutical distribution model rooted in the collective good. On 1 April 2014, UbiPharm Benin was granted its operating licence, marking the start of its first deliveries just a few months later. A symbolic date for a journey that was anything but accidental.
In just ten years, the Beninese subsidiary of the UbiPharm Group has grown into a robust structure, recognised for its reliability, close ties with healthcare professionals, and unwavering commitment to its core values: Customer Satisfaction, Partnership, Innovation, Trust and Social Commitment (SPICE).
The celebration began in the morning with the General Assemblies of both UbiPharm Group and UbiPharm Benin. This was followed by a standing lunch reception and the inauguration of a brand-new building for the subsidiary — a symbol of growth and future ambition.

Guests later gathered in the evening to commemorate the anniversary, in the presence of official authorities, the National Order of Pharmacists, the Chairwoman of the Supervisory Council of the pharmaceutical sub-sector, the Vice-Dean of the School of Pharmacy, members of the National Assembly, the Chairpersons of the Boards of sister subsidiaries, and many valued partners.
Dr Ismahinl ONIFADE, Chairman of the Board of UbiPharm Benin, welcomed the guests, retraced the company's journey, and outlined its ambitions for the decade to come.
Mrs DOVI AKUE, Chairwoman of the UbiPharm Group Board, then expressed the Group's pride in being a partner to Benin and in actively contributing to the country's healthcare development.
Finally, the Group’s Managing Director, Dr Gérard MANGOUA, joined by the Chairpersons of the Boards of UbiPharm subsidiaries, performed the symbolic cutting of the anniversary cake — closing the day in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude.
