From September 23 to 28, 2025, in Bamako, UbiPharm Mali had the honor of participating as the official partner of the 20th edition of FESPAO (Federation of Pharmacy Students of West Africa). The event was held at the Bamako International Conference Center (CICB) and brought together nearly 400 pharmacy students from eight West African countries.

FESPAO is an annual event that provides future pharmacists with a platform for exchange, training, and sharing of experiences.
For this edition, the chosen theme was: “Antibiotic Resistance in West Africa: Raising Awareness and Promoting Action to Preserve Effectiveness.”

As the official sponsor, UbiPharm Mali was represented by its Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Cissé Djita Dem, who also served as the event’s patron, its Managing Director, Dr. Diarra Malick, as well as the commercial department team and representatives of the UbiGen and Labell brands — generic medicines and parapharmaceutical products.

The opening ceremony was highlighted by an address from the Chairwoman of UbiPharm Mali, followed by an inspiring presentation on the UbiPharm Group by the Managing Director of the Malian subsidiary, in front of more than 400 students.

Visit of the participants to the UbiPharm Mali site

On the second day, participants had the opportunity to discover the new UbiPharm Mali facilities in Samaya through guided tours and presentations highlighting the Group’s professions, innovations, values, and projects. The visiting students expressed their enthusiasm and admiration for the expertise of the UbiPharm teams and the modernity of the installations.

The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Representative of the Minister of Health and Social Development, the President of the Order of Pharmacists of Mali, as well as the Dean and professors of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The closing ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Official Sponsor Trophy to UbiPharm Mali, in recognition of its commitment to youth and to the future of pharmacy in West Africa.

Through its participation, UbiPharm Mali reaffirmed its role as a dedicated and responsible partner, committed to strengthening training, proximity, and the transmission of know-how to the new generations of pharmacists.
