Dr. Hervé GUESSENND appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Dr. Olivier BLÉ appointed Chief Executive Officer of PlanetPharma

The UbiPharm Group announces a change in the governance of PlanetPharma.

Effective May 22, 2025 

• Mr. Gérard MANGOUA, previously Chief Executive Officer of PlanetPharma, is stepping down from this position while continuing to serve as Managing Director of the UbiPharm Group.
• Dr. Hervé GUESSENND is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors.
• Dr. Olivier BLÉ succeeds Dr Hervé GUESSENND as Chief Executive Officer of PlanetPharma.
• Dr. Philippe GRILH is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head Pharmacist.

A pharmacist by training, Dr. Hervé GUESSENND joined PlanetPharma after serving as Managing Director of UbiPharm Côte d’Ivoire from 1900 to 2005. Over the past 20 years, he has played a key role in PlanetPharma’s growth and structuring while overseeing the company. He leaves behind a strong and sustainable organisation. As Chairman of the Board, he will continue to support the teams with strategic guidance and ensure continuity.

Dr. Olivier BLÉ, brings 30 years of experience with the UbiPharm Group. He notably served as Managing Director of UbiPharm Côte d’Ivoire from 2013 to 2023, before joining PlanetPharma as Deputy Director. He will be supported by Dr. Philippe GRILH, appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head Pharmacist. He has been with PlanetPharma for over 10 years and previously lead the company’s operations.

These appointments reflect the commitment of PlanetPharma and the UbiPharm Group to ensuring unified, stable, and effective governance in line with their mission.
