UbiPharm Madagascar and AFG Bank Madagascar today announce the signing of an unprecedented strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the establishment and development of new community pharmacies across the country. This collaboration is part of the PACK TONGASOA program, an initiative created by UbiPharm Madagascar to support newly established pharmacists during their first five years of activity.
Through this partnership, young professionals in the sector will now benefit from a comprehensive package of technical, financial, and administrative support, ensuring a stronger and more sustainable start to their professional journey.
In a context where access to financing represents a major challenge for new pharmacists, AFG Bank Madagascar is committed to providing preferential credit conditions, including:
• Financing of up to 50 million Ariary for pharmacy setup
• Real estate loans of up to 300 million Ariary for the purchase of land or buildings intended to house pharmacies
• Adapted repayment terms and preferential interest rates
• Simplified and priority access for applications recommended by UbiPharm Madagascar
This collaboration not only facilitates the establishment of new pharmacies but also encourages long-term, structured investments in the healthcare sector.
Beyond financial assistance, both institutions are implementing a complete support system:
• Management support, training, and follow-up provided by UbiPharm Madagascar
• A secure and innovative financing framework offered by AFG Bank
• The establishment of a joint monitoring committee to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the program
According to Mr. Achraf Alfa-Boukari, Managing Director of UbiPharm Madagascar:
“Pack Tongasoa is our commitment: to give young Malagasy pharmacists the means to build a life project.
